Enjoyable game of football that, meaty challenges....

So far offside made me miss VAR....

onana awful position for it, but look so much better playing out from the back ...

Run you Ragged though Madrid, crispy AF

They do look good. Those 2 French midfielders have been brilliant in pretty much every way.

All the same, their goal should not have stood and we should have scored at least 1 of our 3 good chances.

We’ve got a midfield?

Looked offside but that’s a piss poor goal to concede. Walked through the middle and what the £#%&!ing keeper is doing I have no idea.

lie to yourselves all you want lads

Cant control the midfield or keep the ball in there despite the addition that we didn’t need and who shit anyway

we are even playing 4 midfielders in there but getting passed through.

have literally no goal threat and the only player are missing our sancho and Antony from a attacking perspective.

we needed 2 strikers and winger and still do!

Oh and our keeper made a few passes but got chipped because he was nearly on the edge of the area.

What a great window we have had they said.

It’s almost comical at this point how badly we need a striker.

We’ve got nothing up front

If Anthony is going to continue cutting in and shooting at every opportunity, getting it on target might be a good idea.

Beaten by an offside goal whilst down to 10 men and a worldie. If that doesn’t convince you that kit is a jinx I don’t know what will.

For the love of Christ, United buy a £#%&!ing striker ffs.

We were much the better team that half as well....

Very enjoyable game ...

This guy playing centre back when we're in possession is a vibe....

Thought O'nana was a great presence good 2 feet, and didn't stay on his line Apart from the goals obvs.

I am sure he will be crucified soon enough.

"The Scottish Player ends the game with a knee injury"

Ffs. Let's hope it's nothing that won't stop him being sold. Ten Hag saying he "absolutely" needs a striker - hopefully that means Hojlund is done.

Hope we get this Arambat because Eriksons off the ball these days is atrocious...

Pre season. Pre.

The prefix "pre-" means "before". It's typically used to signify "before" or "prior to". For example, when you try to prevent something, you come "before" it to put a halt to it, thereby keeping it from happening.

Anyone care to sum up the game?

How was Onana? How was Mainoo? The usual 11 changes at half time? Is the kit still horrible?

I see our win over Arsenal didn't mean anything, but this result means something...

Funny how things weren’t so conclusive when we won the other day. Instead you spent the whole second half explaining why Arsenal kept their best 11 on.

They’ve got till August 14th to sign a striker and possibly another CM. Looks more likely to be Hojlund. Let’s hope the young lad gets up and running right away.

Rumours of that Amrabat joining too. If they get the two of them before the premier league starts we should be fine. If not, it looks like the usual recruitment handicapping the manager by not having players in place. Expect a slow start and a couple panic/overpriced signings a few weeks into the season.

It’s a shame they do it every season. So far the window has been good and I’m sure we have that striker and midfielder within three weeks there’s loads of time left. Reports that Hojlunds contract is already agreed.

Coming up against a good Madrid team is a good learning learning curve. It is only preseason so the game means nothing. Mainoo injury is the only real negative

Still think we might end up with two forwards if we sell enough.

do you not ever get tired of being utterly negative all the time, or are you just on a constant wum?

Either way, it must be exhausting.

It's literally the 3rd 'half' of football we've played, and the first with this midfield and new gk setup. It's pre-season.

We know we need a striker, and I'm pretty sure the manager does as well since, you know, he's mentioned it a few times.

If you can't see already from that one game the advantages Onana brings to the side I can't help you. The goal was offside

The 'sages' (whoever they are), did indeed say that Mount would help us score more goals from midfield, and he will, but I didn't hear anyone say we don't need a striker.

Hope this helps, enjoy your day.
