Your hypothetical of who he’ll sign for is utterly irrelevant to the context and the job he’s doing. WE might not even sign him. Because he’s a stop gap. An emergency in a remarkable set of circumstances where we’re selling the club. A point you continue to ignore to front this non-existent argument that he’s a hero amongst the fans and a striker we prioritised signing. ‘He isn’t a specialist’ Is anyone saying he is? Does he need to be? You’ve also said he doesn’t impact games - that’s your opinion. I think he does. So does ETH. Certain strikers ‘stretch the opposition’. Others don’t. He isn’t one of them. That’s not his job, but ofcourse you know this. You also know he’s a stop gap. You know that he’s a type of striker we need, just not of the requisite quality. Because of this, he won’t be our number 9 next season. But please keep saying how’s he’s holding us back (19 wins from 25) and how we all love him. |

back to my point. He is shit and possibly the worst striker we had at the club in my lifetime Quote:
he is nearly averaging 1 goal every 10 appearances and a few times already we’ve subbed him off at half time or when we need a crucial goal or are behind. subbing OFF our emergency loan striker when we need a goal. That says he is shit not the bullshit you sprouting. |

The phrase "doing a job for the team" has never been more apt.
He is not a very good footballer, clearly not United standard - surely, no-one is suggesting this - but he is doing a job for us at the moment. He would be doing a much better job if he was a little less nervous in front of goal, but I blame the budget, not the player. I think we would not have done quite so well if we had not signed him. The question for me is: would we be better off playing Rashford down the middle and Sancho on the left, at least as our first choice selection? If that were so, he would still be useful as an option. |

Did you read what i typed mate? Quote:
what sort of battering did nketiah take when arsenal beat us? what sort of battering did city’s false 9 (foden?) when they’ve been thrashing us over the years weghorst doesn’t take a battering , he is usually chasing around midfielders. He doesn’t contest or win anything in the air so it’s complete bullshit that he is a some sort of battering ram. a man that is never playing off the last man, never trying to run in behind or try to pin the CB is taking a battering and you keep trying to make our rashford can’t play up top. He can and usually when we are trying to win games and sub off the donkey rashford is then the closest thing we have to a striker. If you are being pedantic you can say we release him running centrally from the left but he is basically “up top” just a faux intellect chatting shit that sounds nice to the minion like forumistas agree and you quite start believing your rubbish . you #@&%!! |
