This is why I wanted LvG or a manager like him as I'm sick to death us going to the Bernabeu or the Nou Camp or even Anfield and playing defensively and looking for the odd counter attack
Think of how we went to Anfield and Stamford Bridge last season and played them off the pitch
If we get much better attacking penetration to go with the possession then we will soon be dishing out huge slaps all across Europe

You have to enjoy how open that match is, from both sides. So much positive, aggressive movement, win the ball, quick transition, look to penetrate.

When Utds' classic footballing identity is talked about the focus always tends to be on wide play and crosses, but the speed of the game is more important, every great Utd team under Fergie had a deadly change of pace in the attacking play.
