I've not heard a single person question Eddie Howe, his players or the team though. Yeah, Trippier had a row last night, but up until then, they were just as shite as us.

United tax, isn't it? Eddie Howe is still seen to be a miracle worker yet EtH has clearly been better than him.

Well I guess if Newcastle are the barometer against which we’re measured then surely you have to look at the actual facts.? Since their takeover they’ve spent approx 400 million and gone from a mid table team to the top four. We’ve spent over 500 million in the same period and gone from 2nd to 3rd.

The actual facts are that we’re apparently shit with a clueless manager and a side full of shit signings, but were above them in the table and beat them in a cup final last year.

Don't make it too obvious for Bellers ffs. He likes totally ignoring a valid opinion and going off on his own little preamble.

Newcastle aren't our barometer, I'm just saying they have an easy ride with the press. Like now they're being talked about as "poor Newcastle, with their injuries and schedule", where we've had it worse this and last season. It doesn't get a mention.

Tedious at times but that’s what happens if teams sit right back and we don’t take an early chance. Not having centre backs who bring the ball forwards or pass between the lines doesn’t help.

That said we created decent chances and looked solid if unspectacular and excitement levels were pretty low.

Almost as if it’s more difficult the further up you go up a table to sustain a competitive edge

their a Wierd way to look at it?

we have played them twice since then and not scored a goal….

would you like to bet we’d beat them in 3 weeks?

just for some clarity

this season

beaten -
wolves (h)
forest (h)
Burnley (a)
palace (h) (8 changes)
Brentford (h)
sheff Utd (a)
Fulham (a)
Luton (h)

lost -
arsenal (a)
spurs (a)
Newcastle (h)
city (h)
galatasary (h)
palace (h)
Bayern (a)
Brighton (h)
compenhagen (a)

if you had to divide the teams into two groups (decent teams and shit teams)

we are yet to beat a team above us in the league or even in the top 10
we also haven’t won any game by more than 1 goal and have a negative GD in every competition we have played in.

but yeah Newcastle need more bad press because we are 1 point above them and have score 13 goals in 12 games against the beating exclusively the bottom 8 teams in the league.

let’s echo our managers sentiments about the standard expected at the club.
Let’s be sarcastic (“we are meant to be so shit but we are above Newcastle”
We are so shit and Newcastle would beat us if we played them tomorrow
.
£500 says we don’t beat them this season..:.easy money according to some?

We moved the ball around okay and at least created a few chances but everything is so slow. Maguire did well feeding Garnacho but that was the only ball we had available all game. One point Lindelof had the ball on the halfway line and every single player in front of him was standing still.

And all that again Luton

A bit more dynamism, some better finishing and we may go from shit to okay.

I think yesterday we actually created several clear cut chances but couldn’t put them away.

Mcotminay had an open header, garnacho in the first half .

Think the hojlund cross deflection that bounced off his knee would be harsh to expect to go in, when luck is not going your way it won’t go in.

Think for once the break has come at a good time. We should be seeing 2-3 players back from the break, AWB , maybe Diallo and Mainoo. Our squad can start to take shape a bit .

Yes it was only against Luton but we can only beat what’s Infront of you. The last 5 games have been awful to watch but 4 wins out of 5. Losing only to city (which was even then triggered by a shit VAR decision that started the wheels to come off)

If we can pick up points when we play awful, it shows we have many more gears to go through.

Personally I’m expecting very little change in the way we play till Jan. hopefully Ratcliffe is in by then and we can maybe get a couple of signings , shaw Martinez should also be back.

If we manage to inject 4 “new” players into this seasons starting XI we should start seeing bigger changes to the way we play . Until then there will be a lot of stumbling and falling through games.

We play midweek and weekend. Most training will be post match recovery /pre match preparation. It’s harder to coach throughout the year unless you have a big squad that you can rotate. Right now everybody is being rotated because everybody else is being injured.

Literally in the last week alone we lost Evans, AWB and Eriksen .

There needs to be call for calm. Nobody is denying things are poor with the way we play, ETH has also made mistakes, he’s human. But when changes are expected based on injuries /off the field situations / stability of knowing the will own us for 12 months , it will affect them. Just need to ride it out till the new owner(s) come in.

The blind hope right now is that Ratcliffe or wheoever does get complete control of football operations and they do want to make Manchester United the best team in the world again. That and hope for no flash it’s the glazers who I am assuming will still retain much control of the business side .

‘United's strikeforce - Marcus Rashford, Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Martial, Antony - has scored one league goal between them so far this season.‘

You can add Sancho to the list and still end up with the same total

And i was abused for saying we needed goals goals goals this summer .

Some idiots like dunk and Co were telling me that i didn’t understand football because a signing like Mount will help us score more goals.

He's got dozens online to be fair to him - can't expect him to do it in both worlds.

They get an easy ride because they’re not Man United. We are still by far the biggest name, the biggest draw even when we’re shit. City won the treble and barely anyone gave a shit.

Nobody cares about Newcastle either. Just another plastic oil @#%&! club that can only dream of having the aura and significance of Manchester United.

Look at morons like Agbonlahor - not a peep last week when Liverpool were seconds away from losing to Luton but can’t wait to get stuck into us for only beating them 1-0.
The country has a mental breakdown when we get away with a debatable penalty decision but goes completely silent on a series of comically poor decisions against us.

Hated, adored, never ignored. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

And its now near obligatory for the media to refer to "injury ravaged Newcastle" or "injury plagued Spurs".

Manchester United, however, remain just "Manchester United".

Even though we have been missing some key players since the start of the season
