Default Salah to Saudi

Apparently a 200m offer incoming after they had a 150m bid rejected.

Rather he stayed and declined massively over the next couple of seasons rather than another possible Coutinho situation happening again.

If he left while they have no time to bring someone in - great.

Hard to see that happening though.

They won’t let him go now.

When he had a strop when he was brought off at Chelsea I had a feeling he was going to force an exit to Saudi, but he’s left it too late.

What good is £200m to Liverpool on the last day of the window?

They’ll never get anywhere near that money for an ageing asset ever again.

American owners will see it differently - they will try and get by and be in a position to get top 4 and reinvest it in January.

Their mob aren't much better than ours they just have better PR

They’d be crazy to turn it down

Van Dijk and Matip need replacing. That Scottish #@&%! must be getting on too?

Hopefully they don't use the windfall to steal donny, martial and mctommers from us. Oh I'd hate that. That would really show us. Perish the thought.

£200m is very, very difficult to turn down - 2nd highest fee ever.

They can't replace him (unless there is some ridiculous u-turn in the offing from Mbappe) but otherwise they just suck it up & hope their forward line gets them through to January in contention.

He's an incredible player, but you can't turn down that much for a 31 year old.

everything/everyone has a price. if they comeback with 200m he'll surely go. if that's the fee you can only imagine the wages.

just bought him for my fantasy league team so i'd say it's pretty much a done deal.

Gonna have to take a whole lot of class and dignity to turn down £200m for a player the wrong side of 30.

Shame this all didn't happen sooner, where we got to enjoy the usual poems, online abuse against the player and his family, and shirt-burnings outside the Shankly Gates.

You're right, but he's still their best player, best goalscorer and they can't replace him.

If they sell him and it ends up costing them a top 4 place, would it really be worth it in the long run?

The negotiators at the Saudi end must be good if their next bid is £50m higher than the first.

The had woman puncher on talksport earlier. He thought £150 million was a ridiculous bid but, if the Saudis came back with a bid of £250 million, rising to £300 million, then Liverpool should take it because their other forwards are well good enough to cover Salah’s goals between them.

Best bit is, there probably isn’t a single one of their supporters who disagrees with any of it.

Thought he was trying to sort out a move away from the club. Not sure what his opinion on Liverpool matters. Obviously not too busy, then...

For avoidance of doubt, I mean Stan ‘gulp’ collymore’.
