Looking forward to watching him taking on and beating a man and then crossing into the 6 yard box whilst our forwards are standing around the edge of the area.

looked a decent player, good change of pace on the dribble against a quality fullback and competition in Atletico Madrid

But he’ll never make it because going out on loan means you’re not good enough

Got to get him and Amad in the team next season. Doesn’t answer any of our bigger problems, but still

Answers the ability for us to go to 4-4-2 if we can go with Pogba and Bruno as the central two.

Not entirely sure what that's going to show us. Would much rather he had a loan in this country. It would help him acclimatise, it's easier to scout and it'd help him get used to British football.

Never know why we send lads abroad unless we're hoping to sell them.

Year at Alves, then a year in the PL. Will be 21(?) in 2 seasons time and ready for a crack at getting in the United squad?

I'm assuming it is easier for him speaking Spanish and used to their culture more as a youngster.

But how is that helping him learn English? They don't need easy.

He's tiny and needs to fill out. Will get bullied mercilessly in England and won't get the game time. Will be allowed to play much more in Spain and will get stronger. Can toughen him up in the PL in seasons to come.

He'll have been back in England since the end of last season so enough time to start picking up English and he'll no doubt have a tutor (unlike older players like Valancia and Aguero who just never bothered).

He speaks very good English

Did an interview after the Derby game

Not sure about this loan as it’s not like they started him that much last season

Would have preferred a championship loan

In fairness the last loan seems to have really brought him on. Hopefully he comes back from this to see us sell James and get a chance.
