I tend to agree. The most commonly said thing about Pogba is that he is world class on his day but doesn't produce that level enough. I think that is very generous. If we look at the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League in the last few years (say De Bruyne, David Silva) or those just below (say Bruno or Bernardo Silva), they are all clearly so much better at what they do even than Pogba even if we leave aside the latter's massive inconsistency and suspect temperament.
If we are to improve next season we need to be able to combine the kind of defensive displays we saw in the @#%&!ting of City in March with the attacking performances we have seen in some of the post-lockdown games. For that, Pogba has to go. And I for one still hope that he does.
