According to one of the bell wipers on there, their 95-96 team was better than ours. They must've been good, you know, picking up nowt as we were getting our second double in 3 years.

Ronaldo is an outstanding talent, so possibly he stands outside of such an argument on the basis that he'd walk into any team in the world. However as regards everyone else, and therefore the entire collective, I'd take all our players over all their players any day. No question.



Can anyone win the league on luck? No, but they were very fortunate, for example, with injuries last term. As has already been proved, if they lose either of Ronaldo or Rooney for any length of time, they falter against even average opposition. We lose Stevie G and Carra? I don't mind anymore.
