This

As Gary Neville said, he should be about third or fourth choice.

Anyone thinking otherwise has accepted where we are.

Apologies welcome.
Why does what he is now have to be what he is forever? We give players a chance, what they do with that is down to them.

First season and the inevitable dip in form most players experience through the year

re the bitching

Totally expected nowadays but still S2C so called supporters more interested in winning inane sage plaudits from strangers than giviing a young lad a chance

It certainly tells you that we have significant injuries to key players.

he's looking a bit little, lightweight and one-dimensional, but he has proven that he can be effective... now he just needs to be consistent.

and, either way, he is infinitely better than £#%&!ing chong.

Has he scored since August ?

He is probably an impact player at best, says a lot about our squad that he has started so many games. You need regular starters in those positions to be getting around 15 a season.

It's not a dip in form. It's where his form is right now. Not unsurprising for his age and experience. He'll get better and has the right foundations, but obviously flogging him to death isn't the best idea.

And been absolutely shite in every one of them.

James hasnt had a dip in form and suggesting he's been flogged to death is a complete cop out, he's at the peak of his life, a professional athlete and he's playing two games a week max. The truth is he's playing to his capabilities and shouldnt be relied on like he is. Really likeable character, works hard and is a decent enough player but if you're expecting any more you're in for a disappointment.

Try him at right back, probably be more effective than Bissaka.

He's being overplayed for how good he is.

He's a 21 year old winger from the championship who has played FAR more games than we expected. He's still a threat on the counter attack, even if his output has gone down. If we had more senior players we could rely on, he would be the impact player he should be.

The lad is the least of our problems.

Agreed. We’ve got more senior players putting in far poorer shifts than this lad. Lack of wingers is a big concern especially when Lingard is in contention to play.
