Yep. With those Scotland goals as well, nice time for him to find some form Now take a rest while the big boys get a run.

Fair enough, no longer an automatic groan when he starts for us. Until the next disaster, at least

The Scottish Player and Fred are not as bad as some make out, just neither are defensive midfielders.

Yep, which is what makes it so awful when they play together. I’d keep both. Add in sabitzer and one top quality new addition, and we’ll be good. If nothing else though, these displays add to McT’s transfer fee.

Good today and Wednesday. Can’t say fairer than that.

Of the 8 games we’ve missed Casemiro through suspension, we’ve won 5, drawn 1 and lost 2 - and they were big games at Arsenal and Newcastle. Not too bad.

If the Qatari deal goes through then he's going to be a bit part player (at best) appearing in the odd early cup round.

He's probably a bit too good for that.

Yeah. I don’t mind him being a squad player, but if he’s ambitious, he’ll move. Heading towards his peak and he’ll make a very good championship player for someone in 2024/25.

His defensive side has really improved very handy in and around the box with blocks and tackles. Also seems to have cut back on the stupid fouls. Definitely improving as a player he is becoming more intelligent. With his physical attributes I could see us wanting to keep him if the improvement continues.

He's done well last couple of games for sure, though in fairness if you can't do well yesterday against a completely non-existent midfield then something is seriously wrong.

The problem with McT (and Fred for that matter) is not performance level in individual games, it's an utter lack of consistency. We have enough evidence by now of MoM performances interspersed with being the worst player on the pitch the following week that it's simply not good enough for every game he needs to fill in to be a toss up as to what you'll get.

Midfield is so key, and you don't get many opportunities in the Premier League these days to give games away and still compete for the title. Every squad has a drop off from first to second choice players, but we can no longer afford for the drop off to be as stark as it has been previously.

The Scottish Player's recovery speed, control, passing accuracy and range is simply not good enough to compete against the best out there - at least not in the deeper part of midfield. I also think that persevering with fringe players too long makes it harder to give emerging academy guys like Mainoo a proper chance to show what they've got. I like a lot of what McT and Fred have to offer, but unfortunately I also think the jury have seen enough at this point.

Sell him while his stock is high. Same with Rashford.

too £#%&!ing right as well, he's scotland captain, 26 years old and if Declan rice is worth 100 mill he's worth half that.

Yep. We seem happy to keep him too. He’s not a shit@#%&! we can’t shift.

He’s not good enough to be first choice for us, but he’s got a lot to offer. If he plays week in week out pretty high up the pitch for West Ham, he’ll do well for them.

Not just that but we can't just £#%&!ing give all our players away for peanuts all the time. They're not buying players off the £#%&!ing raggy arsed rangers, and if midfielders from team that got relegated are 30 mil then he's worth much more.

He’s not Scotland’s captain.

I hope he stays, always good to have homegrown lads in the squad even if they are not world beaters.

but we'd have to take £45m of course

Seems like united are determined to have players with the worst skin in prem. We potentially lose big Scot and his big spots but bring in Rasmus who has melted welly style bad skin.

10’ers must have set his stall out early days in demanding zit ridden players. It’s an odd one but he must know what he’s doing.
