Ole should have tried him with Maguire instead of being so fixated on Lindelof.

Short term option leaving us still needing a replacement, and the passing with AWB on the same side of the back 4 would not be pretty but he is(even in decline) a far better defender than Lindelof.

Just watching the goal back. McGuire is basically on his own and being held down by Gomez. We had ten players between the six yard box and the penalty spot vs 5 of theirs, why the £#%&! are we putting Fred and Williams on their biggest aerial threat. Might as well have had Mata marking him.

We are terrible at set pieces, meanwhile van Dijk got his head to absolutely everything that came into theirs.

Poor, just poor.

Not a fan of Zonal marking myself from my low level playing days, too often one of the threats is coming with momentum against a static jump, very hard to win those. Maguire perhaps could have been stronger in contesting it but there were other issues in his game that were much more concerning today.

Still, Lindelof has to take a spell out, the partnership is not working and dropping Maguire is not an option.

When he got absolutely mugged on the half way line; was it Chamberlain or Wijnaldum, can’t remember. That was awful.
