Not really, everything is online everywhere nowadays it is 2015.

Don't need any new ways to slag off Mata tbh, all the original ways work just fine.

If Winston Reid gets the ball and launches it 50 yards to Andy Carroll, that helps his team have no passes backwards, a high percentage of forward passes and passes into the final third, and minimal passes in their own half. Glad we don't top those tables.

Notice they don't talk about team positioning. Us and City spend the least time in our own half. And the most time in the opposition half.

Easy, this stats thing.

Thanks for clarifying that we don't actually go somewhere off the pitch when not in our half.

how much of it is near the final third though? Most of the time we are passing the ball between our midfield and defenders just near the centre circle.

Memories are short. Ten years ago we go knocked out of the group stage by Benfica and plenty wanted SAF out. That went well.

Cheers for that Grimmers

I actually £#%&!ed that up. The stat is divided into thirds. Positionally, us and City are lowest in percentage in our own thirds and highest in percentage in the opposition third. There's just a difference in how effective they are, but none of us need stats to tell us that.

I already did, pal. If we pump the ball 50 yards to Fellaini and he flicks it on for someone to score, that move gives us a very high percentage on forward passes, low number of passes per shot, high passes going into the opposition half and all those things we get slagged for.

We don't create enough chances. Simple as that, and we don't need a stat to tell us that it's the case. There's a debate to be had about why we don't create, but stats are easily twisted one way or the other, as I've done above
