Negotiating with loads of players at once, giving themselves options etc. trying to find the one that is financially viable or favourable, hanging on and delaying in fear of signing the wrong one too early and missing out on someone better further down the line. It all just spanks of uncertainty and insecurity, oh, and penny pinching.

They have no idea what they are doing, Rabiot is absolute proof of that imo, signing him is 100% because he is available for a fee they consider a bargain. His worth on the balance sheet on a 3-4 year deal will be miles more than the £15m they pay for him. That’s what matters.

I've not followed him for a while, but what is his USP?

He's got one year left at Leicester. One last big pay year. If he has a good ratio for the season for us then he'd get a decent move next year as well if he wanted. He be mad not to want to take it.
