Default Boddingtons - The Cream of Manchester

Terrific read this, if you have any interest in advertising/beer/Manchester.

Loved the United ones as well. Those were the days.

Absolutely awful stuff

The stuff your dad drank at BBQs in his Tesco T shirt and shirt combo

Reminds me of ford Mondeos, calculator watches and Umbro coats

Had a pint of it free with a pizza order in Wales recently. It was what you would expect.

My old man wouldn't drink anything else.

Used to stink the house up the morning after a session

2.70 a pint in the Brickies in Ordsall.

Ridiculously cheap and vfm compared to most town prices nowadays

Stockport beer, great stuff when I was a lad. Mates dad worked in Boddies so got a tour of the brewery. Was better before it went national

Thatís the stuff they sell over here in the US. Has PUB ALE written on the can, rather than DRAUGHT BITTER. I still enjoy it, along with Belhaven, and Wexford CrŤme Ale. They also used to do John Smithís, but canít get hold of that lately. If you enjoy a cask real ale, itís about as good as youíre going to get over here. Certainly more preferable than these craft IPA liquid air-freshener-type beers that are everywhere. Canít get used to those at all.
