For depth Chelsea and City are better. We aren’t far away from either though.

Backed us for the title

The midfield is still not good enough. The new signings are very welcome but Fred and The Scottish Player need replacing (and probably Pogba)

He's bang average.
Henderson is the best all round keeper at the club and deserves a shot at the crown, but is English so is probably shite. DdG is completely spent. Romero and Grant are worse than both, Heaton is a perfectly adequate 3rd keeper.

Romero's case isn't helped by the fact he left the club 6 weeks ago either.

Don't worry yourself about it though, I'm aiming to have my vote cast before the big kick off on Friday think I'll lean towards best once I see Varane holding up the number 4 shirt.

Phew. Was really worried but not anymore - thanks for confirming.

And I suppose having the best squad means…..

Defensive midfield is still really poor. Question mark over AWB as to whether he can improve (I think he will, but you never know). Don’t like Cavani and Martial being our only options up top.
3rd best, 2nd if we get Neves or, dare I say it, Declan Rice.

Our midfield is way behind the others. Not much in the rest really.

And still hasn’t got a club, despite windy believing him to be a belting keeper, better than Henderson

He is.

Should be re-signed 100%.

Disgraceful how the sweet prince was treated.

With the signings of Sancho and Varane we've definitely now got the 2nd best squad after City.

100% should be mounting a legitimate title challenge this year.

If City and Chelsea get their transfer targets then they go into the season with complete squads that have no obvious weaknesses while we have a glaring weakness in central midfield so 3rd best

I think they've lined up Fred for that position.

It’s a more nuanced argument than that IMO. For me they are no better than us for instance and the European cup wasn’t particularly strong last season (I know we still flopped it).
