And as highlighted by someone yesterday, look at the state of PSG now. Spent fortunes and £600m in debt without a CL to show for it.

Think there’ s a difference between “normal” inflation and football inflation. The Premier League and all it brought is a bit more like a rebasing of the football currency.

€800m!!

Nothing we don't already know but that's not a great return so far on a lot of money.

Then again if Antony and Sancho turn it around and we recoup decent money for Fred, Martial and Bonce then it suddenly looks alright. Still... lot of cash for the League Cup...
There's some shambolic wastes of money in there.

You know how we pay the "utd premium", what's it gonna be like with Qatar? (assuming a non brown envelope operation)

5 of these players are in the top 10 most expensive Premier League transfers of all time. Another 2 in the top 20.

Antony and Maguire in the top 10 most expensive EPL transfers of all time is a joke. Fred and Martial make this list absolutely laughable.

Seriously, I cannot think of another sports club, let alone football club that has been run so poorly as a business.

God help us all if it's not a full sale.

Maguire the stand out lunacy of course but to be honest Fred not too far behind. God knows what the logic behind that one was. Shambolic purchase for the money.
Your right about, Martial in his 1st Season(well he only arrived a few weeks into the 2015/16 season), he looked absolutly unstoppable & if anyone had predicted back then how he was gonna go down-hill ,none of us would have belived them, but sadly has'nt really been the same from the start of 2016/17, when Mourinho took-over & it is almost as though he has been in a permanent sulk eversince.

Strange as it sounds, he scored as many league goals in 2019 as Rashford did this season.

May be a coincidence, but he was made the highest paid forward in the league .. then the form collapsed not soon after. He must have a net worth c. £50 million .. perhaps he just can't be £#%&!ed with it all. Wouldn't be the first time a player fell out of love with the game after riches arrived.
