Default It's a lie that ten Haag wanted Rangnick out

and even if he did it shouldn't have ever been his choice to make.

Ralf was let go because he made too many waves and spoke some uncomfortable truths. We would've had three or four cheap signings early in the window if Ralf was still here as dof instead of this futile DeJong chase.

There will never be another manager like Ferguson but we keep on trying to recreate that.

For Ralf to be DoF, that'd mean some turkeys were voting for christmas.

These lads are on the gravy train. Senior management roles being passed around a group of plebs while the clueless absentee landlord is happy as long as the rent's paid on time.

Like I said in another thread, having identified all the problems at the club that needed removing in a few short months, they decided it would be easier and Cheaper to remove him instead.

The truth was too hard to take. Made certain elements at the Club uncomfortable.
Or maybe it was too costly.

Yep. Ralphie had the measure of the situation and was ousted as a result...

Shame a lot of knee-jerk reds can't see that.

For all ralf failings he was the most clued up person we’ve had at the club for more than a decade

i just remembered him breaking down every facet of the joke of a club we have become.

he said he didn’t know what Darren fletchers job was
Also didn’t know what phelan was doing at the club.

They must have hated him.
He would have cleared the deck of all of them

But we could have finished 4th with a better appointment

He was bang on with everything he said regardless of the teams performance under him. I didn’t much care tbh as we knew he wasn’t staying from the outset.

He was brilliant. Had to be a German who has no filter to say it as it is

As good a summary of the situation as I’ve seen.

That last sentence could’ve been written by any of our first eleven.

Said it before .. an objective German who has demonstrable success in creating structure and is completely emotionally divorced from all that came before him is exactly what was needed. Then you look at Fletcher, Murtough & cos gormless gob and realise, of course, it would be like the turkeys voting for Christmas. Said in another thread but infinitely more damning of the Glazers than their financial spend is their executive recruitment policy. Bunch of used car salesmen the lot of them.

He's one of the worst things to happen to the club in recent years.

It's astonishing that the bar is so low for fans that someone pointing out the blindingly obvious while steering us to the brink of the Europa Conference League and away from Champions League contention is highly regarded.

Any one of us could write up a list of loads of players we could sign to l improve us, that's not a high bar to be considered some sort of £#%&!ing hero for the club. Especially when his dire mismanagement of the club and players during in his thankfully short stay guaranteed that we'd miss out on Champions League football, which makes it even harder to actually sign players that could make a major difference.

"Man United need a complete overhaul". Wow. Breaking news that pal. And that would be a lot easier if you didn't do everything you could to guide us away from major European football.

"anyone could have said what he said".

Ole didn't. He looked into mirrors instead. Erik hasn't. Yet.

Ralf says the club needs open heart surgery to be successful. Most fans agree. Then he gets criticised by the same fans for only getting us into the Europa. With a team they accept needs open heart surgery.

Again, no-one is saying Ralf was even close to being a successful manager. He should never have been in that role imo. But as a make-do DoF, he saw what was wrong, called them out and identified solutions. He was then ignored by the club and (I assume) booted out because it painted them in a bad light.

It's alright though. I'm sure Murtough and Fletcher have this all under control

Don't forget Arnold getting the mega pints in. Name a more iconic trio

You're spot on. Ragnick did the 'easy thing' .. which was apparently so easy that no one before or since has done it.

Everyone has put a very lazy amount of trust on ETH. Its a pure hope game more than anything. Won a couple of trophies in Holland? Wonderful. So did Frank De Boer, Martin Jol, Ronald Koeman. Advocaat. About 10 league titles for that crew. How'd they do over here? Oh ..

It was so 'easy' for Ragnick to call out young, pacy attacking players like Diaz, Alvarez & Vlahovic that surely we'd be on the same 'easy' track once he left. Sorry, what's that? The transfer targets are now a lightweight, slow old 30 year old number 10 who we are going to stick up front or in holding midfield, a 33 year old Marko Arnaoutovic and a winger from PSV who can't get in the Dutch team and Notts Forest are after? Sorry, what's that -- they're all players Ten Hag has either directly managed or his agency manages? Must be a total coincidence. The board won't go after the players he wants 'Easy' this recruitment malarkey.

Mane. Haaland. Kimmich. Upamecano. Firmino. Konate. Werner. Keita. Around 25 million spent on that set by Ragnick, recycled into 250 million. 'Easy' this transfer malarkey.

Never a manager, but folk resenting his sentiment while at the club and/or denying he'd have been a superior DoF after looking at the host of ETH-related players we've been on the track for this summer are on some serious, serious acid.
