32 in a couple of weeks... hmm, it's a classic short term deal, probably should have been the ones to buy him for £20m 4 years ago rather than the same fee now & his inflated wages.

Would he still offer the same level of threat in the next 2 seasons or so to make it a worthwhile option - can't really say. He's not exactly lightning quick so losing pace isn't an issue. Does seem to be injured a bit but rotates & I don't think I've ever heard him talk which can only be commended.

Not exciting, but pragmatic? Is there no one else out there for £20m in world football that can score goals? Ideally not from Ajax.

Better than a kick in the teeth. Low fee for a strong, aggressive player who will take a lot of pressure off Hojlund. Unless we go for that lad in Germany with the release clause, this feels the best we can do in January.

January is a shite market, £20m for a 'proven' (sort of) PL striker is probably fine as a stop gap and I imagine he'd retain that value if we wanted to bin off in 6-12 months.

Pretty much this. Getting him in doesn’t mean we’re committing to him long term, no one would bat an eyelid if we moved him on for £15-20m within a year.

His fitness is the biggest concern for me,however poll is clearly overwhelmingly in the No camp

Better scoring rate than Rashford and has never been near Ajax.
