I've seen "we would have won the league under the old rules" a few times this evening

In the interests of fairness, we’ll take the 95 title off Blackburn then.

Aye. If only we’d got 97 points in the treble season eh, really would have been to shout about.

And any lack of trophy just shows the practical limitations of the 38 game league as a football test in the first place”

If they lose the CL too it’ll be almost as good as winning a title.

They won’t lose

They’re not shit - they’re very good and mentally strong

They didn’t lose it today, they’ve not choked; to be fair, I don’t know how they’ve lost it at all, with the season they’ve had, but they’ll comfortably beat spurs

We're the true champions
We should get a trophy anyway
Three points for a win is not fair
Etc....

Haven't seen any poetry just yet but its on the way, nqat.

Give over..... ?

They forget that in 05 when they won it they were about 30 points behind Chelsea. Rat munching tossers.

I agree they may not be favourites, but Spurs are capable of beating anyone on a given day, and Liverpool don’t travel well.

Hopeful. Won’t watch though.

They choked when top of the league, then changed to a chasing mentality with nothing to lose. No telling what they’d have done over the last month if city had lost a game and they’d gone top again.

What's our highest PL points total? 80 something?

It is a bit small time but they do have a bit of a point on the 97 point thing, I mean, we've never managed it have we.

Thanks

Third line doesn’t fit, they have been one of the most successful domestics teams in that time and have picked up a European cup too with possibly another to go. They are also currently miles ahead of us, apart from that though

Our best teams would get 100 points in this league. If needed.
