Bale would make us an exponentially better team immediately. If that’s our aim, pay the money.

The end.

If he is fit.

But I suppose that might be a risk worth taking, it isn't our money

If he lands and plays like Sanchez we're stuck with the pair of them in their 30s for the next three our four years.

United full of ideas.

Wonder why.

£#%&! Bale. That ship has sailed ffs

If we’re gonna be spending 100m then it should be on Griezzy or Dybala

Depends on details of the negotiated contract.

Because he's been fairly shit?

You don't see the Sanchez initial struggle as a warning sign about signing players at that age on those deals?

Madrid signed zidane at a similar age for a world record. There’s risk with any signing.

If the late Sers were here he'd no doubt mention that Madrid won two major trophies in the five years Zidane was there

Anyway, as discussed on here before it's the explosiveness of many forwards - and certainly Sanchez and Bale - that make them as players. They both have great skill but take away their physical peak and you could easily lose much of their effectiveness.

For me one is a risk, signing both is a huge call.

From the MEN:

Quote:
eal Madrid will reportedly listen to offers in excess of €150million for star winger Gareth Bale.

That's according to this OK Diario article, which says Mourinho will attempt to sign the Welshman this summer.

Bale's Madrid future is uncertain after a season on the periphery at the Bernabeu but he is reported to be in no rush to make a decision about whether to leave the club.

It is claimed by OK Diario journalist Eduardo Inda that Mourinho has promised to help Bale win the Ballon d'Or if he moves to Old Trafford.
By playing him as a wing back?

Gareth Bale is happy at Real Madrid and keen to work under new head coach Julen Lopetegui rather than seek a move back to the Premier League, a source has told ESPN FC.

Bale, who scored twice after coming on as a substitute in the Champions League final last month, had put his future with Madrid in doubt by revealing he would seek assurances over his role in the team.

Manchester United are long-term admirers and remain interested in a move for the former Tottenham player. They will be at the front of any queue this summer should Madrid sanction his sale.

But following the resignation of coach Zinedine Zidane in the wake of the club's third successive Champions League triumph, a source close to Bale has told ESPN FC that he is ready to grasp the opportunity of proving himself to Lopetegui, who was unveiled by Madrid on Thursday after his dismissal as Spain coach on Wednesday.
