With a partner and people to do the running, I think he's worth it. His goals return is good when he's partnered with Rashford. They combine well and their goals per game as a partnership is as good as anyone.

Neither can do the job of lone striker very well though, especially Martial.... but he got better as the game went on last night and he took his chance brilliantly.

I enjoy watching him when he's bang on it too.

We need a proper centre forward in the summer regardless.

Him, Radhford, new guy and Greenwood.
His brilliant moments only serve to keep him bobbing up for air, and makes the debate about good enough vs not good enough more confusing. Ultimately, when you read your post back and start adding up the caveats it tells you something’s wrong. Good players don’t really need that many qualifying statements.

No, but some good players need the right environment/set up and are worth indulging somewhat.

Lots of people saying he needs to step up and do this and that. Some players arent like that. Some players don't like 'leading man' responsibility. Some are more effective in the background and can't carry a team.

Someone like The Scottish Player is the other way round. Steps up when the chips are down, but is he someone you expect isolated moments of quality from? Is he a match winner? No. Just different.

Nani used to blow hot and cold, had the brain of a wood louse and frustrated the life out of everyone.... but he generally had a successful time here, with many suggesting it was cut short.

He's got responsibility now out of necessity and it's exposing that aspect of his game and personality, but when we have a fully fit squad, he's worth having IMO.

He doesn't have to be our number one guy or flawless to be useful.

Both him and Rashford are much better when the other is there.

Of the winter break Solskjær said: “It was more about getting the group together again – the first week to refresh, then we had our first training together for five months. That’s a quite a long time"

Needs to win 9 out of the last 12 league games to match Moyes' season ( our worst ever prem season points tally )

Yeah but how does he compare to Frank or Ron or Wilf or the Doc’s relegation or Fegie’s first 3 years?

Pointless shite- you want Moyes back?

Are we getting better - have we improved.?

Yes and Yes. £#%&!’s sake lads get a grip we’re United not Chelsea. Keep the faith.

We played some good stuff under Big Ron and tbf most of that mid-80's team would walk in to today's clown show.

Ole will be gone in the summer anyway and replaced by Poch.

Or Alegri. It's done. Even if Ole wins the europa and finishes 4th they will get rid.

Then again, he made a run across the defender to the near post. Something I haven’t seen much of during previous seasons. I was surprised to see him score such a goal. But maybe my memory is playing tricks.

Hopefully, he won’t be first choice next season. He’s a bit thick and a bit of follower. He possibly could change if we get enough of the right team mates around him in terms of reaching the tipping point in changing the ‘culture’ within the dressing room, and influential communicators on the pitch. Fernandes helps.

If that happens, United can f*** off. Ole’s the only good thing about the club as it stands. The only thing that makes me give a shit.

Starting yet again from scratch with Allegri or ‘poch’, and replacing them again in two or three years regardless. f*** off

It wont happen.

Ole is deffo getting the boot though.

Only way he can avoid that is to go on another amazing run of wins, otherwise its poch or allegri.
