The comments:

'Apologise now!'

Yes, nothing quite like a forced apology delivered under threat.

called to apologise.

I would love if someone just didn't.

Sick of people giving into other people's inability to deal with their own problems.

I don't get why anyone would ask for an apology. Isn't it meant to be an admittance of guilt/wrongdoing that needs to come from the actual person?

Tell me you love me! Do it now!!!!

All it takes is one person on Twitter to express outrage or 'demand' an apology and we get the stream of articles. The News 2016, ladies and gents.

I actually think the BBC website needs to have separate 'News' section and 'Non-News' section because the amount of social media guff that they publish as news articles is absolutely staggering.

"Twitter has reacted..."

Absolutely.

People really need to realise their 'platform' means £#%&! all.

My favourite is when they have a politician on the news and they actually quote from Twitter and Base their questions on that.

"Well, that may be the case, Minister, but John from Bournemouth would like to ask...."

Fancy asking a politician a question from one of the people he's paid to serve eh?

Anyway, fatty has a point. Apparently the turnstiles were late opening which caused a massive build up outside. Club and police very unprepared.

and yet at the same time a reference to why the fences were up at football, and why the police treated football fans with absolute suspicion and contempt

Some scousers demanding a 'live apology' for his mis step.

To them, he's more or less said they pissed on the dead. Just informing one of the @#%&!s on Twitter that its a typically scouse reaction.

Absolute weapons.

"Oooh, offend me! Please!"
