I don't see how anyone could want this lad to fail. but then nani was never valued. and nani was never as shit as memphis is when he's shit.

still, what is talent without character? can only cut him so much slack.

I've said it before, never trust any footballer who has their first name on their shirt.

There's a very good reason why for the lad.....

He was raised by his mum...

There's been World Cup winners and champions league winners with their first names on their shirt.

You're bloody shirt obsessed pal.

Midgetland

Your boy did well against some part timers. Exactly his comfort zone iirc.

He's hammed it a touch, but it slides in the top 10

Pure potential

Ok maybe since Ronaldo is over-doing it

Nonetheless that was wing-play of absolute brutality. The poor full back was left dizzy for days.

I take the level of opposition into account [they beat Southampton over two legs earlier in the season tbf] but my point is the lad clearly has a lot of untapped potential.

This is not an Obertan / Bebe / Tosic cheap punt. Depay was chased by the big boys in Europe. He impressed at the World Cup. He was a "United type signing" unlike the majority of whom we have bought in recent years.

Agreed re; 'the potential'. Was excited by his arrival. Got my lad a Memphis 7 shirt and thought we had a top boy in the making. Apart from Bruge and yer part-time midgets he's looked £#%&! tho and he looks worse with every game he 'plays'.
