Football Mauricio Roberto Pochettino Trossero

Linked again in the rags this morning.

Personally I'd welcome him if he arrives. Young manager, did an excellent short term job at Saints, doing similar at Spurs.

Plays attacking football and allows flair players to do their thing.

On the other hand, lacks experience at the highest level, would need time and patience, unknown quantity in THE BIG GAMES, albeit some impressive results against his big rivals at Spurs.

Discuss.

South American. Be off to Spain in a shot if he does anything of note at Utd.

As for the Argie, why not? He knows Shaw and Schneiderlin already - 2 of the 5 or 6 with an OT future - and he couldn't do worse!

300 games in management and he's lost 100 of them.

No thanks.

I'd be happy for him to have a go and would give him the time he needs to get it right - 3 years.

There's an impatience with people like Moyes because it was obvious he was wrong for the job. I'm impatient with LvG because he's supposed to be a world class manager with a proven record, things should be improving but they're not.

With Pochettino you're gambling but he plays the right style of football, gives kids a chance and he knows the league.

We could do far worse.

i like LvG and i still think he may turn things around...

BUT, is he really WORLD class?

Ajax: win it all, but that squad and set up is something to behold, even now.
Barca: again, not exactly a tin-pot outfit.
Bayern Munich - top club with excellent resources and players, but he only won the league there, really....

AZ is the stand out one, but the dutch league is weak.....

The Dutch performance in the WC was impressive.

I dunno, i think we put too much pressure on him, if he spoke like Graham Taylor and looked like Brian Horton, we wouldn't be looking twice IMO.

Jim Barren it is then!

We won't get Potch either. Spurs are far more likely than us to make top four and Levy is a @#%&!. Won't happen. Tje longer lvg sticks around, the more I'm convinced they want giggs and they won't budge. If push comes to shove; he'll just get him in earlier.

It's ideal for Woodward and Co. Fergie will love having one of his loyal subjects in charge, media will be happy, he's cheap, he's there at a moment's notice and they can pretend they have some kind of ethos.

He's not Ryan Giggs, so it's a yes from me.

What when he's already signed for City mate? Be a bit on top that.

I'd like to see Sparky in charge tbh. Mainly cos its not Giggs.

Edit: Sparky on here not the fatheaded wheezing ex-city manager #@&%!

Don't think it matters what Levy thinks, if Poch wants to leave the team he's going to will have to pay the compensation. Nothing Levy can do about it. And even if Spurs get top 4 ahead us we are still a much much more attractive proposition than them.

The lad is still whoring himself to be a red. It's not too late imo.

Anyway, Poch is one of plenty of interesting options out there that don't include Mourinho.
