Default Fried Potatoes

What is the best type?

Details please, ie: if you make homemade gives a brief rec, if you prefer fries, say where you got them

It's obviously triple cooked, anyone who says otherwise hasn't really tried them.

That said, there's not really a bad option when it comes to frying potatoes.

Are loaded skins fried? I bake them.

Chippy chips when you are at the seaside are just magnificent.

But homemade, Maris Piper... I quite often bake a load of spuds, leave a few in the fridge for a few days, then chip and shallow fry... and I loves it. Crispy skin

Gone with chippy chips but would plump for gratin if health considerations were not a factor.

Especially a nice little place I found that cooks them in beef dripping.
