No idea.

Remember when we signed Falcao and everyone got ridiculously giddy? This time it’s for real

the falcao, mata, van persie, di maria and zlatan signings all saw giddiness.

however, the reaction i have seen over the past 12 hours has been a whole other level.

it feels like a cloud has been lifted.

If everyone was fit.

I keep reading about how "we can't fit them all in" etc. That's the idea of a big squad ffs. It's fine when city and Chelsea do it though.

King Atticus

You know who will truly benefit?

James and Lingard.

Those with zesty legs to do his dirty work.

I am self identifying as a Pointer Sister today I’m so excited.

Ronaldo will have a word with Ole.

There's no way he'll want to spend his last 2 years at the top watching Wan Bissaka slicing the ball out of play.

AWB will (hopefully) be joining Mendy in Forest Bank soon enough...

Difficult to have a regular starting XI at the top level nowadays, as it's all about having a squad that can be rotated, particularly in midfield and attack, and dependant on the opposition.

But at the moment you'd probably pick:

De Gea

AWB -- Varane -- Maguire -- Shaw

Matic -- McTom

Sancho ---- Bruno ---- Pogba

Ronaldo

For home games against the fodder you could probably drop one of the centre mids and have Cavani or Greenwood up-front with Ronaldo in a 4-1-3-2. Rashford's adaptability also offers loads of options, as if he's on the left, you could shift Pogba into central midfield, or rotate him with Bruno as the 10.

You'd have to think Martial and Lingard can be binned off now. Mata is also pointlessly taking up a squad number.

De Gea
Henderson

AWB Varane Maguire Shaw
Dalot Bailley Lindelof Telles

The Scottish Player Fred
VDB Matic

Sancho Fernandes Rashford
Greenwood Pogba Martial

Ronaldo
Cavani

Still leaves James, Lingard and Mata, that's some pretty decent options all over the pitch.

Part of me thinks that's the way we should be setting up for the majority of the time (hence the fluid reference in the 442 earlier). So long as there's lots of communication and discipline, the likes of Bruno and Pogba can drop back into more defensive roles to support the anchor man (Fred/The Scottish Player) sitting deeper in midfield. With the potential to absolutely rip teams apart breaking forward, I really hope Ole focuses on the free flowing, attacking style of play we were once known for. Ronaldo and Cavani both starters in my book, Mason coming on fresh as £#%&! for one or the other in the second half.
