I think we can finally say even if you love welbz (yes that's me) that his career is a £#%&!ing mess right now unless he moves on from the top tier teams and starts to play week in week out.

Why would you assume he couldn't at least get on the bench if he was fit. He starts most games. I'm not a massive Welbeck fan but he's not been that bad.

It's hard to sympathise with him given that he complained about being shoved out wide at United, he then goes to Arsenal and Wenger plays him on the wing.

Looks like he was poorly advised to me, but it's a bit of an indictment of a generation of players that they're happy to be secondary players at an "elite " club rather than star man at a good second-tier club (even big sides like Valencia and Napoli for example)
