You could definitely dispute a few of the choices, but overall I think it's a pretty good attempt, as these things go. Nothing outstandingly stupid in there and certainly not deserving of its very own scornful thread.

Why exactly someone like Piers Morgan is given a platform to present his selection is another matter...

I disagree. He could've picked the same XI as me and I would still have a moan. Because he genuinely knows almost nothing about the game, and he's picked players that other people have gone on about, most likely.
