Just seen Klopp giving a press conference talking about Mourinho. He's not got a game till Friday. Did he call a presser just for this?

Mourinho believed his team over-performed to finish second last season and stressed the importance of increased investment over the summer. He informed Woodward and the recruitment department of the positions he believed needed strengthening and the club's scouts, video analysts and data experts worked on narrowing down the list of targets. But in meetings, usually over Skype, Mourinho is said to have frustrated other members of staff by demanding players never previously mentioned.
Backs up the rumour that Woodward would conveniently lose connection whenever Ivan Perisic was mentioned

n May, Dwight Yorke gave an interview suggesting United would have won the Premier League title with Pep Guardiola in charge. On reading his comments, Mourinho tried to get Yorke removed from his role as club ambassador

According to sources, United even tried to accommodate Mourinho whenever they could and cancelled a series of sponsor events ahead of the Europa League final in Stockholm at his request despite spending thousands of pounds to fly a number of high-profile executives and their guests to Sweden.

Sounds like Woody’s been briefing...

Pathetic, no balls, a petulant child to the end.
Is the correct answer.

Where do you think he'll manage next?

My bet is a return to Inter Milan which goes badly, a short spell at Newcastle before his last gig with the Portugal national team.

He always gave the impression that he did not want to be here and was doing the club a 15 million quid a year favour.. Living out of a suitcase in a hotel, fighting with everybody, playing McTomminay at centerback, laughing at the when we went out of Europe last season, never his fault when we lost, but 100% his doing when we won, trying to constantly get rid of our young players for over the hill £#%&!ers.. So long you @#%&!..

United announcement on Van Gaal leaving

Quote:
Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward said: "I would like to thank Louis and his staff for their excellent work in the past two years culminating in winning a record-equalling 12th FA Cup for the club (and securing him a title in four different countries). He has behaved with great professionalism and dignity throughout his time here. He leaves us with a legacy of having given several young players the confidence to show their ability on the highest stage. Everyone at the club wishes him all the best in the future."

A decision on a successor as manager will be announced soon.
