Donny lack of playing time made even worse by the fact that this is how he was treated under Ole aswell. But surely he will get in there. Especially when Frenkie signs.

I think it was to protect Martinez, more than anything else. He must know Maguire is rubbish by now - I’m not a professional football manager and I’ve been aware of it for years. Surely Erik can see it.

Exactly this. Protecting the new guy. Maguire is the captain. He stays on to step up. Absolutely no way someone of Ten Hag’s pedigree, standards and attention to detail doesn’t see the obvious flaws we all day. He has to balance this just right though.
