Haaland did run through him in the reverse fixture. Shaw has been playing well at CB albeit against dross. Maybe he just trusts him ahead of Martinez right now.

He's our best CB, we need him from the start....

Just means if we’re chasing he comes on and Shaw goes LB, if we’re in front he comes on as an extra CB. He must think he’s got a good 30 minutes in him

Atmosphere looks electric. It’s not even full. Let’s get at these bastards! Sounds like one of those games where the fans will act as a “12th” player. It’s what we need. Early challenges, fight, Get in their face and control the tempo/narrative of the game

Don’t like the look of that defence at all. Shaw has done well in that position but it’s a different game altogether against City, and he is unreliable at the best of times.

Might need a comeback in the second half.
