We've played 54 games this season. City have played 56 and Chelsea have also played 54 games.

Compare that to United's 2008/09 campaign where we played 65 games in total and still managed to win the league as well as reach another Champions league final.

All excellent, valid and balanced points

Probably by sitting back, denying them space and countering them.

Some of the defensive set ups against them have been absurd. Think of Spurs or the Arsenal home game, high lines with slow defenders.

Everton as well. Its ridiculous. Although I don't think I have seen a more pacier team than this liverpool team. So it was probably difficult to defenders as well to cope with so much pace.

This... Conceded as many as West Ham and 2 less than Hull.

Scoring shitloads but letting loads in at the back too... Except that @#%&! Moyes whose team didn't score any.

That's because he didn't have enough time.

It's one of the reasons why them winning it this year would have been so hard to take as they would have done it with a much smaller budget than their title rivals while playing fantastic attacking football

Let's face it they have played better attacking football this season than we have done in a number of years

Thankfully they will end the season £#%&! all to show for it
Well since 2006/07 anyway. Let's not go overboard now

City at Anfield wasn't much better. I was surprised by Pellegrini's naivety there. Toure is a beast and Fernandinho has been good for them, but neither is a true holding midfielder, and it's crazy to play against pace without one, especially when your front three are definitely not going to be doing any defensive work.

Chelsea sorted them.

£#%&!ing hell, I must have missed all those great attacking United sides that spanked the top teams and wrapped the title up with games to spare, thus easing off for the last 3 or 4 games.

1999/2000

Scored 97 goals and finished nearly 20 points clear of 2nd placed Arsenal. Won the last 11 games of the season and had the title wrapped up by April 22nd. Which I believe is still a record.

Ancellotis Chelsea totalled 103 and were devouring opposition when the pressure was on.

But they probably weren't as dignified as this all conquering Liverpool side who could finish on a world record 84 pts.

Good argument that city were still quite unfortunate to lose, though. According to some, the "injustice" of that result has spurred them on
