In the late 80s was convinced I’d never see Utd win the league.

After a home game against Everton (I think) was convinced that Veron would become an all-time great.

That’s the game I thought it too. 4-1. Scored. Ran the show. Absolutely magnificent player, just didn’t work out for him.

Literally have no idea what's happened to him.
To be fair, none of that shows him playing triangles on the edge of the 6 yard box with Luke Shaw and David DeGea.
Yes neither played for Leicester.

Loads - I thought Maguire would be decent, I thought veron would be insane, thought cantona was overrated before he came. Thought Jesper Olsen was brilliant, porbosky was going to set the world alight etc etc

Haven’t even scratched the surface and that’s just united. Be here all year with bad calls for other clubs.

I did, plenty, he can do anything on the pitch when he wants to. He just only wants to in very brief spurts.

In a similar vein, during the Derby in 2011 Rooney miscontrolled the ball leading me to shout “you useless Scouse @#%&!” from the scoreboard end. Next thing Nani crosses the ball directly in front of us…

Got another one - I thought Forest might get a draw against City tonight.

How we all laughed

Have a strong affinity for the Dutch, can even spell it well.

Thought all of the above. Really, really wanted Donny to win.

Pretty much everything else said in the thread. I appear to make the wrong call every-time.

The likes of Veron, Berbs and Forlan may have ultimately been United "failures" - but they still gave us a fair few memorable moments.

People you tipped to succeed and were actually total washouts are maybe more what we are talking about here.

A prime exhibit for me - Djemba-Djemba

United is too much pressure. Has happened to many through the years.
