If as in the OP Ronnie stays then we have him rashford and Tony all can go central . Plus Antony Sancho (and erm Elanga) and at a push Bruno as false 9.

If awb goes then we’ve only got Dalot at Rb. We’ve seen with malacia the improvement some energy and good link up play there can bring.

Cm we’ve got options now tho not the best en is more pressing

even if our worst player is rb, our biggest need is midfield.

Hard because we need another midfielder to allow us to control games, and not rely on McFred too much. Also obviously need a striker due to the unreliability of Martial and Rashford, plus we need more options anyway.

Best case scenario is that we make a deadline day swoop for de Jong, and Greens makes a comeback to form a partnership with Antony and Sancho.

Depends on the player in question really.

If the centre-mid is De Jong, then that is the choice, as he's the one player that will take us up several levels. A midfield orchestrator.

If its not him, then I'd probably say right-back, as we seem to play a lot down that side, and both Dalot and Wan-Bissaka aren't good enough.

In terms of strikers, none of the names mentioned excite me, and I'd rather we gave Ten Hag some time to identify the right long-term number 9, and then go big on them next summer.

Lots of answers to this, but we have really struggled bu having such shit, passive full backs

We have to sort the back 4 and then build from there. So RB it is. Plus it's our weakest position in our strongest XI.
