Think we're gonna get loads of this when he rotates Genuinely think Maguire unsettles that team. Antony was anonymous & Casemero was shite , put that down to finding thier feet.

Ronaldo was just sad to watch

Same old story. If we don't have 40 yards of clear space to run in behind we struggle. Missed Rashford and his willingness to run in behind. Ronaldo can't so he just drops deep all the time.

We play at an absolute glacial pace at times, we don't keep the tempo up and At no stage did we have any foothold in that game, we allowed Sociedad to make it scrappy, break the play up and get behind the ball.

Ronaldo is a huge problem going forward, he looks every inch a player touching 40 years old now. Slow, ponderous, taking an age to do everything , he won't run in behind because he doesn't have the legs so he drops deep for no reason at all.

A pretty sobering night considering recent results but i'm not surprised. We'll lose plenty of games this season to teams that are cute and know how to manage games - we simply cannot control a game of football no matter who we play.

Yep.

Just seemed to breed lethargy into the side. The only time in that second half we looked half threatening was when Martinez was coming out to get the ball moving.

As for Linda Loff, the less said the better.

Viva Ronaldo,
Viva Ronaldo.
Trundling round up front,
Playing like a @#%&!.
Viva Ronaldo.

Terrible pen decision. 0-0 would have been fair.

We’re not going to see this much rotation outside of the cup competitions. There’s a reason he hasn’t £#%&!ed with a winning formula too much and we saw why tonight. Six changes was always going to disrupt the momentum, but I’d be much more concerned if that performance was turned out by our best eleven.

Start any other forward in place of Ronaldo and it would have made a difference, even with the roasted team imo.

Soon as Sociedad realised they were playing against 10 men they stopped fearing us. Desperately need to sign a striker in January.

They played like a typical Spanish side. We let them . Snidey fouls, slow tempo, killed any momentum. Martinez was good when he came in it just felt like a bit more urgency but the rest were shite.

Hopefully lindelof/Casemiro /Antony/Ronaldo are just not fully match fit .

Still , de gea came of his line when Fred had that 1 v 3

Can’t take anything seriously from tonight beyond Ronaldo being utterly and completely finished at any meaningful level tbh. The lad just can’t move. Having a 15 yard headstart, looking like he’s running on ice skates, getting caught and never once looking like sorting his feet out was just sad. Happened a bit mid-season last time out, but he rallied. Don’t see it this time. Absolutely shot. Nothing to be embarrassed about either, he’s wrung every drop from his career. Just needs to admit it, quick.

Hope he flukes the WC and retires in a blaze of glory

Didn’t see the game as I’m in mourning but Dont see any reason for Casemiro not to be match fit. Full pre season with RM and started their first game.

Honestly, why bother with it if you aren't going to do things at least barely competently.

State of Ronaldo FCers in the summer Stealing 25 million quid a year off the club when he should be in the Masters League at this point. If not for Tuchel he'd be stinking out West London instead He was always an integral part to the teams miserable failings. Maguire & Ronaldo .. two ponderous, slug-like faces to the same coin.

Rashford + Sancho very important players. Pace & power in the team an absolute must.

You have absolutely nothing to say, and don’t say it well.

I think its pretty f***ing clear what is being said mate: Ronaldo is a 25 million (poss. 52 million depending on if club has to pick option up at his request) albatross around the neck. Destabilised the club in the summer and he can barely kick a ball anymore. Not much behind the ears?

This was always clear to those who knew. You cannot play Ten Hag football with a huffing, puffing middle aged bloke at the tip of the spear. Rashford/Sancho/Bruno/Antony/Martial or bust. Points per game with Ronaldo in side under Ole/Ralf/Ten Hag absolute shite. Results/performances against any half-decent team with Ronaldo in the side absolute shite. Common denominator. Capeesh?
