The back story to this game is that loads of Napoli fans had put bets on Napoli to win the league in 88 with thw camorra. They would have lost about £5m if Napoli had won the league.

In the week leading up the game it's alleged that the camorra threatened all of Napoli's Italian players to go easy. Maradona and Careca were not threatened, but Milan won and went on to win the league.
