They could have got what? something between £15 and £30 mill last year, so I wouldn't bet on it.

If he's refusing to go and let the club make a fee on him, then he needs to rot in the reserves for the rest of the season.
Realised today that he’s 29 now.

He’s just about no longer referenced as a ‘young player’.

Acts like he’s about 16, but thinks he’s a £#%&!ing Neymar.

29 and done absolutely £#%&! all barring a few nice goals and a six month loan at West Ham.

Now he’s stringing the club along to run down his contract.

The poster boy for the shite, overhyped modern day footballer.

Can’t wait for the little fart to piss off,

He’s still a decent player and will do well wherever he goes.

We should hold out until Newcastle make a bid to buy or give him a bit more game time to prove himself. He’s barely had a look in this season.

How much time? More than the six and half years he's been in the first team?

£#%&!ing hell Ryan.

2 starts.

Mad how Phil Jones is a hero for playing his first league game in 2 years but Lingard isn’t good enough despite us being 7th.

I’d say that’s more a reflection on Lingard and the other CB’s tbf.

Jones needs to leave.

But Jones never put up dance videos after playing shit. Jones never put up pics of himself in a West Ham shirt whilst still being contracted by Man Utd .
Jones was injured for the majority of his time here. In his first game in two years he came back and was the best player on the pitch

I’m not defending Jones. He shouldn’t be at the club and needs to go along with lingard . But lingard has done nothing to show he has a future here. Turning down loan deals etc .

People are only saying start Jones because there is nobody els (outside of varane) our CBs are so shit you have to pick the one who might just be ok on the night. Lingard has elanga rashford greenwood Infront of him. Up until December he also hard martial vying for a spot. He is 4th/5th choice and isn’t good enough

Let’s not pretend that a few ironic cheers and a surprisingly ok performance have changed anyone’s perceptions of Phil Jones, long term.

Few have been more roundly mocked in recent years and he’s stop of everyone’s list to £#%&! off, alongside Lingard.

Neither deserve chances. Neither are good enough. Both need to leave ASAP.

One of the biggest problems with United over the last decade isn't necessarily having shit players, it's rather that we haven't been ruthless at binning the shit quick enough.

We've always signed some crap, as well as promoting crap from the youth system, and even some of our best squads were littered with Klebersons and Gibsons, but they were assessed and moved on very quickly if they didn't make the grade.

This is something that happens with all great clubs, as it's a by-product of having more money to spend, and being a big allure to all players, hence why the likes of United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc. have all had their fair share of shite turn up in their shirts, as they have the luxury of being able to attract and purchase a lot of players. Law of averages dictates that many will fail to make the cut.

The difference with the current environment at United is that we have allowed this shite to fester for far longer than it would have done before. Not a chance players like Jones and Lingard would have lasted over a decade a piece in a Fergie squad. The decision making has been atrocious, and huge contracts dished out undeservingly to crap players in order to protect an asset value () has had a horrendous impact on the culture at the club, as unflushable turds like Jones, Lingard and many others have continuously dragged the standards at the club down just by their ongoing presence alone. This is something that Ronaldo must see every day and be utterly sickened by.

Insane if true. Although if he has a similar impact than he did last season at West Ham, would be worth it I suppose.

It would work out like that wouldn't it, as he is out of contract anyway.
