matic does not just pass sideways. he beats players with the ball and he passes forwards. you would not guess this from reading the comments on here.

I'm not sure playing him in a two-man midfield with fred is the best idea, but still... if he does get caught with too much space to cover and wan b and shaw well up the pitch, I'm sure someone will be quick to point out how it was all his fault.
