Di Marzio confirms 105 million euro fee plus 5 million euro bonus if he renews his contract or we sell him for more than 50 million euro

Given the figures that have been banded about its almost a bargain

Quote:
Paul Pogba-Manchester United:a deal is now done. The player still isn't in Manchester as he is with his agent Mino Raiola but they will be arriving tomorrow morning. He will then undergo his medicals and sign his Manchester United contract.

Here are the financial details of the deal: Pogba will cost United 105 million euros plus another 5 million euros in bonuses (as the deal should be payed off within a 3 year window). The bonus money included in the deal can be reached if Pogba renews his contract with United within the next 5 years or if he is sold by United for a number superior to 50 million euros. These are the final numbers which do not include Raiola's agent fees as he brokered a deal.

You could of course omit "instead of him" from this and it would be every bit as 1000% true.

Wenger said something interesting the other day. He said if a player ticks four boxes : age, talent, improvement to the team and re-sale value, then the price is irrelevant (paraphrased). This is less than a week after he labelled us signing a player who definitely ticks all four boxes "madness".

Point is, he's right. We will make money off of him, and he will improve us. What's not to like?

Nothing.

Of course, you've got weirdos who still go on about transfer fees and try and take some kind of peculiar moral stance about it

I hope United break the world record again in January

everything . literally everything. except what the player can actually bring as a player.

where the money comes from. where it goes. where the game has gone. where it goes from here. what the player's agent gets. what the player's agent will do next....

Get off your moral high horse, you self-righteous #@&%!.

The game went to hell in a handcart years, if not decades, ago. Not sure you've got much of a leg to stand on of you're complaining about this transfer yet handing cash over to the Glazers for your season ticket every year.

Exactly. Blokes earning £20,000 a week playing football signaled the end of any 'working class game' and yet oddballs decide to take a stand over this Pogba transfer

And you're right, anyone who has spent a penny on United (not judging anyone btw) since the Glazer takeover has no right to have any opinion on the state of football in a monetary sense.

The transfers wouldn't cost as much as they do unless the revenues to fund them had increased accordingly. If the player improves us and we make money off the deal, what should we do, abstain on moral grounds?
