We’ve just won 5-0 agains the CL semi finalists last season.... we were happy to surrender possession, Fred and Matic covering the back 4, VDB playing the ‘false 9’ looking to move the ball quickly onto Martial, Pogba and Greenwood.

But .... I’m not sure what his style is .... well, look closer then. The approach to the game, the strengths, weaknesses And why it worked are all pretty obvious.

Chelsea get in Frank Lampard, he gets lauded for playing some academy players (but less than Ole brought through for United) and playing with a squad with a low average age (but older than Ole's) and steering them to a 4th place finish (below Ole). Result? Manager of the year nomination. Now he's setting up his team for 0-0 draws despite spending a couple hundred million in the summer on attacking talent.

And nothing is said.

Pep's spent over half a billion on defenders alone at the helm of an outfit that got caught cheating, and still can't take them even slightly close to European glory and is managing to have his worse start to a season ever as a manager.

And nothing is said.

We have our most clear direction and style for the first time since Ferguson, and a squad that fans aren't disgusted by, and that stupid £#%&!er thinks there's little progression and no plan? Thick @#%&!. Should retire his pencil and keyboard in utter embarrassment.

Luckily I doubt Ole would give the slightest two shits what anyone writes about him, especially some @#%&! called Mark Ogden, and will carrying on getting on with the job, and it's a nice reminder that it doesn't matter who's winning the Champions League or the Premier League, it doesn't sell unless you write about Man United.
exactly, so

How many of the 20 PL could you instantly tell me what their style is, and would their failures be down to a lack of an idea of what to do and how to do it?
Its bad enough watching united most of the time ffs. You think I watch other teams?

Read a "champions league team of the week" line - up.

Chelsea had FOUR players in it for turning over some russian pub-team.

Do you know how many United players made the line-up? Despite thrashing last season's semi-finalists and current German league leaders?

One.

Marcus Rashford. That should tell you everything you need to know.

i see all of that as complete shit...

you look at most of the big games against the big managers and we've £#%&!ing won a lot of them....how many times has he beaten Pep? Jose? Klopp? How was Ole's record in Europe? these are against top sides and quality managers

The only shred of shit they can offer is how does Ole change the game against lesser opposition or teams that defend deep??

well £#%&!...every manager at times struggles against that shit

It's based off statistical shit and doesn't factor in the quality of the opposition so players will get higher ratings when they play shite like Chelsea did

It's not so much the statistical shit that is the problem, rather the shit statistics. You could improve the statistics by applying a quality of opposition multiplier to every player in each team.

It’s still %@#$&!s. Look at the BBC player ratings for those games. I know that the link Sparky posted isn’t the BBC, but the BBC have 4 Utd players rating higher than the highest Chelsea player.
12 Utd players rated 7 or higher.
Chelsea 4.

Another Ole Masterclass on these "Tactical geniuses" please

Seems if you wear clothes as if your work dress code is smart casual, your tactical and coaching know how seem to go up a level to these twitter Zonal marking #@&%!s.
