Eh .. All Directors of football are chancers.. If they were that clued up then they would be managers.. Busby, Ferguson, Michels, Clough, Stein, etc, none of those needed a DOF.. They did everything

Bookies odds are almost meaningless at least 95% of the time. I suspect this is not one of the other 5% or so.
