Can't see him retiring forever, he's too good nor is he losing anything from his game. I reckon he'll do 6 months then sign for someone in the January transfer window

The banging together of the gloves and the pointing to the left just before Anelka took that penalty in Moscow . Psychologically did him.

I think he's going too early myself. I can't see any deterioration in his game, he's as good now as he was 2 or 3 years ago and isn't showing any signs of age catching up with him in terms of silly mistakes, slowing down, agility etc unlike, say, oh I dunno Gaz Nev maybe?. I'm sure he comes on here, so if you're reading Edwin you're good for a year or two longer yet mate, just think on

I agree, if anything he's at his peak now. My guess is that he's just tired of the routine, being told what to do/where to be//what to eat all the time, all the sponsor/community/charity obligations, etc.

cant compliment the man enough. has absolutely everything.

shotstopper, composure, commands his area, left foot, right foot, good on crosses, excellent pro. everything, just everything.

what he probably doesnt get enough credit for is the role he played in bringing along the likes of the da silvas and smalling and evans.

the 2 centre halves especially may find life a lot tougher without the flying dutchman behind them.

All the best eddy. Uniteds best in my lifetime anyway.
