You have a silly idea of what worrying is.
McKenna had proven himself at united with the youth teams. It would be to United’s detriment to not keep him at the club and effectively punish a talented young coach for being promoted a few months earlier. Carrick was a Giggs like appointment. An ex player who’d become too old and was given a coaching job, unproven and part of a managerial team eventually deemed not to have been good enough. He likely kept his job because he was an ex player who didn’t come as part of mourinho’s team.
It was a reasonable enquiry and £#%&! all to do with sage.

Probably because phelan wasn’t much of a coach but more assistant manager, taking care of the day to day details of management whilst fergie watched racing in his office. Muelentsein was more the coach.
