I don't know what all the hatred from ears and parters is about as they were probably not born. Show a bit of respect.

Yup. It's not "top red" to admit as much perhaps, but he played for ciddy back when they were a proper club.

Apparently he was United mad until he had trials at 13 and was turned down, he hated us after that.

I agree with the sentiment, but Mr Doyle sold his arse on the Manc 'after-dinner' speaking circuit..

I'm too young to have seen Stepney play but I've been to many a meal He has spoken at, does that mean I can't admire him for his love of Utd and his tales of George?

I am too young to have seen Doyle play too! Unfortunately I have had to sit there whilst Doyle has been sounding off! Does the fact he is now dead mean I should dislike him any less?

Do the likes of Ears/Parters/anybody who can see he hated Utd have no say on the subject unless they saw him play??

I didn't say that did I? In fact I think I said I agree with you didn't I?

The guy was a dick though and he hated United so I won't be shedding any tears

Alright fair do's . A lot of those players tried to make themselves a name by hating united or being a bit of a loon.

shall we leave it at that?

quick message to doyle's family, if you're reading this:

not bothered either way. sorry.

as an aside, what's the oldest you think you'll be able to die without a/having to be old, and b/ missing anything. it's a tricky balance.
