I remember seeing my Dad cry when we finally won the league after 26 years. Some fans have become so spoiled that they think ten years without a league title is reason enough to abandon their principles and chase whatever owner has the most money available to buy the bestest players and win the league as soon as they can
So what you're saying is, a decade or 2 is acceptable to not be winning a title and if you moan, you're a slapped arse?

Its like arguing just for the sake of it with shite like that. Yes, it was wonderful to finally win the league again after 26 years but would you have been content stopping there? No. Nobody was.

So why are we accepting being also rans now? This is United ffs

We don’t need the me to be successful ffs.

Arsenal have a decent chance of winning this year. ETH has revolutionised us, pep will leave city etc.

Let’s get rid of the glazers but we don’t need to go down the me route

I didn’t say it was acceptable, of course it’s disappointing and in an ideal world we would be competing (we’re actually the closest we’ve been for years right now obviously)

I just don’t see it as justification for twerking for the Qataris.

Keith - didn’t you spend two years telling us how amazing city’s youth development was and how amazing the work city had done in the local community under Abu Dhabi?

It’ll be £#%&!ing brutal from a press perspective for United if Qatar get it.

Where was this energy with Roman or Mansour?

Being wary of Qatar making people glazer apologists difficult to place everyone's stances here, lots of interlap. if a poll can't sort it think a Venn diagram is needed

Rough multitasking draft of red politics rn:

Right wing - fully bent for Qatari cash
Centre party - glazers aren't that bad actually
Left - big Jim and his community asset
Balcony fosters 4pc wumahol - believe

Why concentrate on the fact that the story is being written, rather than the content itself?

If clubs, especially clubs the size of United, need to be owned by oil states to genuinely compete, then how sustainable is the game at the top level? And when it all falls apart, how's it going to affect clubs down the football pyramid?

It's already £#%&!ed as it is. This is just going to accelerate it.

The news is that Jassim will make a bid tonight and that the two main contenders are him and Ratcliffe.

They don't. United are on the verge of competing now whilst having been hamstrung by parasitic owners for nearly 20 years. If they were able to spend the money they made on the football club they would easily be competing with the likes of City, Chelsea, Newcastle (), Barca and Real. Arsenal are competing without being state owned.

The more clubs that get taken into state ownership however the more likely it is that the top tier will detach itself from the rest of the pyramid and that will be to the detriment of all of football.

I know pal, but a lot of the reasoning seems to be that this is apparently what it takes to compete, from hot tub to hottest player on the market.

If that is the case, then the game is properly £#%&!ed.

(Although it is pretty £#%&!ed as it is tbf).

I was at Carrington 2 weeks ago on the Academy side and it was mint. Free food too.

I don't want these but if the Glazers are going to sell, I think it will be to this mob.

Better than the Glazers? Yep.
Good for United? Nope
