he said something similar during his latest meltdown. when he called the journo an ostrich, he said something like "i'm certainly flexible enough to pull my head out of the sand, but you don't look as though you're capable". weird @#%&!.

nailed on that he has the academy lads doing jumping jacks in their underpants while he watches and critiques their form.

English football will always find room in its heart for a "character", but part of the deal is that, in return, you at least offer occasional moments of levity and a sense that, deep down, you know it's a funny old game. But Pearson presents none of this. He is a walking LOL vacuum. He is a banter black hole. One of the most telling things about him is that, despite the wealth of material to work with, he has not spawned a single halfway decent Twitter parody. There is just nothing funny about him. Even his otherwise hilarious £6 Mr Topper haircut seems to glower at you and say: "Just keep walking." And it's Nigel Pearson, so you do.
