As any fule kno, a small flaw is essential in things of beauty - diamonds, Persian carpets, and so forth.

Exactamondo. Every other genuis has had obvious faults, personality wise. At least on these shores. I suppose it's all about opinion, is Scholes anymore a genius than Charlton? I would say yes but then again I'm shamelessley biased.

I would put Paul Scholes above Cantona in the United genius poll* based on consistant form, natural ability and a desire to overcome all obsticles.

I sometimes wish he was a little strange, an alcoholic or perhaps addicted to A class substances just to cement his geniality**

thats why last season when he was out I got £#%&!ed off that his name wasnt sung enough (if at all!)...yet we kept singing Alan £#%&!ing Smith! and dedicated the league up win to Smiffy yet Scholes was out for what sounded like a career ending injury too!

Scholes is like Ole and Cantona should have his name sung forever and ever!!

Doesn't he want to play his last season for Oldham ?
