Draw wouldn't be a bad result given Chelsea's defeat, but a win would be huge. This month will be tough to close the gap given the easy fixtures for Chelsea and City, so tonight is a big opportunity.

More of the same from Wazza please

A win would be great but lets not go putting too much onus on it. A draw would be alright as well. Everything is extremely close in the top 7-8 places at the moment and everything can change with a few results over xmas and new year.

A win would put us 3rd though with a 3 point gap from 5th to 6th and considering two of the top five are Wham and Saints I'd certainly take that coming up to Christmas

Essentially we'd have taken a point gained this matchday, given how tough a fixture this is.

Not on the berts

If they'd lost it'd have been a perfect set of fixtures... always provided we win

Look up not down.

Said a couple of weeks back if we're 8/9 points behind Chelsea after Xmas i'll be delighted, we've chance to get there with 2 games before.

"Look upstairs, not downstairs"

I agree. Didn't have December down as a month to make up much ground as we have much tougher fixtures. Jan-Feb is where the fixtures are kind to us, and who knows if we might have a full squad/new signing by then. Get within 6 points by Feb and I'll be confident .

Back to back away wins would work wonders in the run up to Christmas.

Crack this tonight and we will turn it on this coming weekend.

Swagger Sunday at OT - it´s been a while.

Southampton 1 United 3

Have to be prepared for City taking lots of points this month. Unless that little @#%&! at Leicester fancies like doing something next week.

United and Chelsea have much tougher fixtures, though. City get Leicester, Palace, WBA, Burnley and Sunderland over this period

Expecting a win, Utd have the momentum, reality starting to bite for Southampton, a few injuries and more difficult fixtures, bad combination.

I am not the most optimistic red, was expecting Sarfampton to bite back.

Learning that LVG hates Koeman has given me a boost. 2-1 United.

Seen something earlier making a big deal of Rooney wearing some new boots, nailed on broken metatarsal now.

Not an easy game at all but United should be winning this.

You can't have a United team below west ham in the league ffs.

Score draw

Southampton are a good side and we'll miss Ang-hell on the break.

Draw not the end of the world..................win would be massive though
