We only did that in 00-01 didnt we? 99-00 we won 4 of our last 5 I think.

Still finished well shy of 90 that year.

Points totals mean nothing when compared against what teams have done in the past.

It's a reflection of the (poor) strength of the league rather than the clubs amassing such totals. The fact that 2 clubs got points in the high 90's shows just how shit the league is this year.

Yes, City and Liverpool were good. But the idea that this dippers team is better than United, Chelsea and Arsenal teams of the past that won the title is laughable. Shankly was right, 2nd is nowhere.

That’s like some shit Art of War pastiche.

Think so too. Spurs will need to be at full strength with everyone having the game of their lives.

Pressures on Liverpool. Far stranger things would have happened than a Spurs win here. They’ve been pretty good overseas in this comp too.

97 points is impressive, but I've never known so much fuss over a points total.

Who cares? How many points totals could you name from our 20 title wins?

Do they not the possession stats of their 5 European Cups or do they just say they've won 5.

Do tennis players count their aces when they're a beaten finalist.

It's a stat. A footnote.

What you win is all that counts.

You'd rather be Leicester winning it with 77 than finishing 2nd with 97.

As I said to a Liverpool fan this week. Well done, you did as well as United did last season.

Then they’ve currently done as well as we have this season

I gave them no chance against city. A one off game? Who knows. But if im honest its more blind hope than confidence that spurs will pull one out of the bag

And the dippers have been shit away from home as well.

And Klopp always loses finals.

Liverpool under real pressure expected to win - second beat team ever blah blah and that may not do them any favours.

Spurs plucky underdogs and getting the full squad back fit - have a sneaking feeling they may well do this.

Feel like there’s a perception they’re playing a team about as good as Everton here. This could be Tottenhams coming of age game, where they shake the bottler tag.

Spurs will at least know what to expect from the scousers, it's possible that Ajax would have been overrun in the first 30 minutes. Don't hold out much hope, but they were the better team at Anfield recently. COYS.

Spurs have been decimated by injuries this season and they've managed to claw their way to there CL final. A fully fit Tottenham will go toe to toe with Liverpool, no team will spank the other. It will all come down to which team clicks on the day, anyone writing off Spurs are forgetting how good they can be when they hit their stride.

The only good thing about Spurs being in the final, is that they will probably give the dippers a better game that Ajax would have done.

But I'm going 3-1 to the dippers with an Eric Dier red card in the mix as well.
