Fred sometimes has a good game. More often than not he plays an average to poor game. You cannot deny, he cannot pass, on the games he does play well, he presses high up and offers energy.
He cannot control the midfield tempo with the ball, he cannot play as a defensive midfielder , he cannot impose himself physically . He doesn’t have a good shot on him nor is he a good set piece taker.
All he offers is energy . That is all. You can find dozens of players that offer energy in leagues around the world
At best and this is being very nice to him, he should be our 3rd to 4th choice CM.
If you see it any different then you’re just a WUM. He isn’t good enough to play for Man Utd when the team is trying to challenge for the league and win cups.
He certainly isn’t more effectual than not .

It’s not like the manager of Man Utd signed two players in his position in the summer and more than likely will sign another (hopefully) in the summer.
